Wo ihr sein werdet

This stylish spacious house is a short walk from the fabulous beach at Old Hunstanton. It's very comfortably furnished and warm with a wood burner and large OLED TV, and now has a new hot tub for 5-6 people.

The shops, cafes and restaurants of the town are also close by as is the challenging Hunstanton Golf Club.

The house has five bedrooms - 4 on the first floor, 1 on the ground floor:

1. Master bedroom with super king size bed with ensuite

2. Double bedroom

3. Twin room with two full size single beds

4. Twin room with two full size single beds

- all serviced by a family bathroom.

5. On the ground floor: a single bedroom

- with a shower room, with grab rails, across the hallway.

There are two lounge areas with TV in each, a dining area just by the kitchen with extendable table and sliding doors out into the garden, and a boot room / utility room off the kitchen from which you can also get into the garden.

The garden has a new patio area with table and chairs for 10, and a new hot tub.

From the garden you can get out onto the public footpath that leads to the golf course and then the beach just 300m away!

There is also a Weber barbeque available.

And a Nespresso machine for coffee lovers and a Boom 4 bluetooth speaker

Please note:
- Coffee maker: Nespresso machine; also cafetiere and Italian Moka espresso maker
- Hot tub (for an additional fee of £250 per stay)
- Soundsystem: a Boom 4 bluetooth portable speaker
- Smart TV: large OLED TV with iplayer, Netflix etc
- BBQ: there is a Weber charcoal barbeque for your use. It's in the garage. Please bring your own charcoal, fire lighters and matches. Please clean it after use for the next guests (as this isn't something covered by the cleaners unfortunately)
- Pets: We are dog friendly!! 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome for a small fee of £25 per dog. Please make sure they do not go upstairs and do not let them on the sofas. Please wash them off after coming in from the beach or muddy walks. No dogs are permitted in the hot tub.
- Warm water externally: there are two taps outside - one for cold water (to water the garden etc) and one for warm water (!) to wash off sandy feet and furry friends (your dogs!) before going into the house - or before you get into the hot tub.

Transport Possibilities

The easiest way to get around is by car - two cars can park in front of the house with free parking available on the street

The nearest train station is Kings Lynn from which there are buses to Hunstanton.

The beach is only a 300m walk away and the town centre is a relaxed stoll or bike ride. There is a free bus called the Coastal Hopper which will whizz you up and down the coast.

Bring bikes - there's lots of storage space in the garage!

Neighborhood

Smugglers Retreat is only 300m from the beach. The beach is one of the few places on the East coast from which you can see the sun set on the horizon in the West! Well worth a visit on a still, clear evening.

Beaches
The best thing to do is to walk across the golf course and onto the beach – just 300 meters.
Check tide times if you want to swim as this will be easiest at high tide. You can check on www.tidetimes.org.uk. If you walk left towards Hunstanton there is the lovely dog-friendly Old Beach Café just off the beach near the RNLI station and public toilets. Further along from there you will come to the impressive chalk cliffs just before the town with its white and red coloured strata. If you want to try some more remote beaches we recommend:
 • Holme-next-the-Sea (2.5 miles)
 • Thornham (3.6 miles)
 • Brancaster (6.6 miles). The beach is very close to the carpark
 • Holkham (15 miles). A huge expansive beach which never feels that crowded even in high season

Golf
 • 18 hole course at Heacham Manor (3.2 miles)
 • 9 hole course at Searles (3.0 miles)

Stately homes
 • Sandringham, 11 miles away. Sandringham Estate is the private country retreat to King Charles III and Queen Camilla. It has been linked to the British Monarch since 1862. You can walk around the woods and visit the café. The house is sometimes open to the public. In summer they host concerts as well.
 • Houghton Hall, 13 miles away. Built for Britain’s first prime minister, Sir Robert Walpole, in the 1720s, Houghton Hall is now home to the 7th Marquess of Cholmondeley – a descendant of Walpole. You can visit the house and grounds and enjoy the café and gift shop. There is an impressive permanent collection of contemporary sculptures displayed in the grounds, with frequent exhibitions of modern art installations. In summer they host concerts as well.
 • Holkham Hall, 15 miles away. A vast 18th century country house and estate constructed in the neo-Palladian style for the Earl of Leicester by William Kent. You can visit the house, gardens, deer park and beach, and they have special events at Easter, Halloween, Christmas, and an outdoor cinema and concerts in the summer.
